The first time I saw one of these ice wine bottle molds, I knew I had to get one. It's such a great, inexpensive way to make every occasion that includes wine, sparkling grape juice, or champagne extra special. However, I really wanted a gold one. When I couldn't find one, I decided to order one and spray paint the outside of it. The gold turned out great!
For the first mold I would try, I decided to do sunflowers and mums for fall. I found some inexpensive flowers in pots at Dollar Tree, and I simply pulled the flowers with the leaves off the end of the stem.
Here's what you'll need:
Water
Metallic gold spray paint (optional, if you want a gold one like I did)
(2) Faux sunflowers
(2) Faux mums
Instructions:
Step 1: Boil water and let it cool for at least 30 minutes, then repeat.
Step 2: Place flowers in the mold as desired.
Step 3: Fill the mold with the twice-boiled water and put on the lid.
Step 4: Freeze the water in the mold for at least 24 hours or until solid.
Step 5: Run the mold under hot water to release the ice. Then, place it on top of the insert inside of the base.
I can't wait to use this for events again and again!
XOXO,
P+P
