I created this recipe while I was working as the Events and Operations Manager for the School of Hospitality and Tourism Management at Oklahoma State University. Our college colors were orange and black, and I was tasked with creating a fun orange, non-alcoholic drink we could serve at our events. A drink fondly named "Pineapple Pete" emerged since the pineapple is the international symbol of hospitality. The drink was so popular I've had multiple requests for it in the last year even though I haven't worked there for almost six years now!

As if an orange tropical punch isn't fun and festive enough, I had to find something cute to serve them in! I'm absolutely obsessed with this glass pumpkin drink dispenser from Walmart because it's the perfect container to serve an orange punch for a fall event! I do want to say that the stem on the top did fall off of my dispenser and I plan on hot gluing it back on, just something to be careful of. It happened after I had put the dispenser in the refrigerator. My guess is that weakened the glue, so be careful with the top because it is both glass and pretty heavy to have a handle that might come off.

I have this fantastic plastic pumpkin punch bowl which would also work well. The cute plastic pumpkin punch cups with a gold rim are also from Target!

I've garnished this punch with a variety of fruit items, but for Halloween and fall, the vibrant red of blood orange seemed just the perfect compliment.

I had the white cake stand on hand, which worked out perfectly, but here is one similar! I know the dispenser in the photos looks a little empty because my party was later so I added the rest of the ginger ale right when the party started but took the photos/video for this recipe earlier in the day. :)

It was a HUGE hit at our recent Halloween party, and I know you'll love it too!

XOXO,
